Innovate with purpose
Campbell University combines high-tech facilities with a close-knit community where students are encouraged to build, test, and discover from day one. It is an environment designed for those who want to solve real-world problems while staying grounded in a supportive, faith-based culture.
A hands-on approach to discovery
The University takes a unique approach to technical education through its "classlabs," where lectures and laboratory work happen in the same space. This means you won’t just hear about a theory; you will immediately put it into practice. Whether you are studying mechanical engineering or biochemistry, the small class sizes—often capped at 24 students—ensure you have direct access to $6 million worth of advanced equipment and faculty who are experts in their fields. With concentrations ranging from pharmaceutical engineering to cybersecurity, the curriculum is tailored to the needs of modern industry.
Life beyond the laboratory
Being a science or engineering major at the University is about more than just your GPA. You can join student chapters of professional organizations like the Society of Women Engineers or the American Society of Mechanical Engineers to start building your network early. Many students also engage in undergraduate research, presenting their findings at the annual Wiggins Academic Symposium. Outside of academics, you can spend time in the Creek Makerspace, a creative hub where you can use 3D printers and laser cutters to bring your personal projects to life.
We’re located in the prestigious Research Triangle area. The region is a nexus of businesses, educational institutions, and governmental organizations that give our students quick access to plenty of internship, research, and networking opportunities, as well as cultural and social outlets. At the same time, we’re rooted in rural Harnett County, making us the ideal spot for focused inquiry and direct impact.
